About John Hall

John Hall brings more than 25 years of national leadership in housing affordability, community economic development, and public-sector innovation to his role as GLC’s first executive director. His career spans banking, community development, and federal service, where he has overseen teams of up to 150 people and managed local and federal budgets totaling more than $10 billion. Hall has worked across every side of the real estate and housing continuum—producing more than 1,400 new housing units, leading award-winning master planning efforts, and revitalizing underserved communities across the country.

A graduate of the University of Michigan and Syracuse University’s Maxwell School, he has devoted his life’s work to poverty alleviation and expanding access to opportunity.
